Hannibal, MO

Ok... Hannibal's just a small town, and not much to it. The only claim to fame is Mark Twain's childhood home, so everything and anything is name "The Mark Twain Diner/Hotel/Atomic Laboratory/etc". He grew up here, and the cave in Tom Sawyer is based on a real cave that was a tourist attraction even when he was a boy. Those photos are at the end

The actual cave Twain used as the model for the cave in Tom Sawyer. He even referenced some of the actual landmarks mentioned in the real cave.

Thousands of signatures are in the cave, including that of Jesse James, who apparently hid out here after a nearby train robbery. The signature has been authenticated.
